Investor in planned Ground Zero mosque allegedly overbilled State Farm
An investor in the proposed Ground Zero mosque in New York was sued for allegedly taking $1.8 million from State Farm, according to a media report.
The New York Post reported that Hisham Elzanaty, who owns medical companies, allegedly overbilled the insurance company for tests after automobile accidents that were not needed.
Elzanaty is described as a “significant investor” in the mosque being built by Sharif el-Gamal, according to the report.
Previously, Elzanaty was ordered to pay $331,000 back to Medicaid for overpayments, according to the New York Post.
