A Virginia man who obtained a non-resident insurance license in Maryland last year had his license revoked in May because his Virginia license became inactive.

The man, Diego Bauer, requested Dec. 1, 2009, that his license in Maryland be changed from a non-resident to a resident license, according to MIA records.

Bauer had indicated his personal address was in Fort Washington, Md., although his business address was listed in Arlington, Va.

The MIA granted Bauer’s request, then learned nine days later that his producer’s license in Virginia became inactive Sept. 1, 2009, records show.

Requests in January and February that Bauer respond to MIA concerns went unanswered, records show.
