Capstone Associated Services announced the founding of The Institute for Captive Insurance Planning (ICIP), a nonprofit organization for advisers providing captive insurance services to middle-market companies.
ICIP was created to implement and operate alternative risk planning without conflicts of interest, such as the case with money management firms or brokers of commercially available insurance, according to the Institute.
Institute members include risk management and insurance professionals, regulatory, tax, insurance and financing lawyers, domicile regulators and other alternative risk professionals.
ICIP also was founded by Liptz & Associates in Irvine, Calif.; McNeil, Levy & Friedman in Houston, Texas; Mercury Financial in Dallas/Houston, Texas; Capstone Insurance Management in Wilmington, Del.; and CIMA, The Valley, Anguilla and British West Indies.
