Despite increased media attention being paid to insurance issues, the majority of participants in the latest IFAwebnews.com poll say their clients have the same awareness of these issues.

Exactly 62% of survey respondents say their clients as are aware of insurance issues as in the past.

Another 38% say their clients are more aware, while no one says their clients are less aware than in the past.

For more than two years, the media has been covering health insurance more heavily, starting with the 2008 presidential campaign. Meanwhile, flooding, wildfires and earthquakes in the U.S. and abroad have generated numerous media stories pointing out the need for insurance. And as the financial markets continue to struggle, a growing number of news stories have explained the value of life insurance.
