New Jersey-based ratings service bureau adds Kentucky member
Glen Rock, N.J.-based MSO Inc. added a new member company, Northern Kentucky Home Insurance Co.
Domiciled in Alexandria, Kent., the company was founded more than a century ago as Campbell County Farmer’s Fire Insurance Co., serving the needs of homeowners in Campbell County, Kent. In 2004, the company assumed its current name, to reflect its expanded coverage area, including Bracken, Boone, Campbell, Grant, Kenton and Pendleton counties. The company still operates as a cooperative.
Northern Kentucky Home Insurance Co. was introduced to MSO by another member company president, Art Meadows of Panhandle, who has been working with NKHI as part of the newly developed BriteCore Mentoring Program. This program is specifically designed to provide the level of technology offered by the BriteCore system for smaller companies.
MSO is a supporter of the mentoring program and NKHI is the first company to successfully launch the BriteCore web-based operating system under this program.
Bob Kopich, Northern Kentucky’s business manager, said he was “delighted to be in partnership” with MSO, the oldest continuously operating property-casualty rating service bureau, providing product development and rating services to the insurance industry since 1945.
