Long-term care insurance brokerages in N.J., Fla., merge
Two national long-term care insurance brokerages, Individual Commercial Brokerage (ICB) of Rockaway, N.J., and Plantation, Fl.-based Gelbwaks Executive Marketing Corp. (GEM), have merged.
Staff and office locations will remain unchanged, as will access to the same long-term care insurance carriers for producers and agents.
For the foreseeable future, the companies will continue to use their individual names, according to a statement.
The new brokerage operation will be headed by a management team comprised of two ICB vice presidents: Rick Eldridge and Aaron Paglia; and Julie Gelbwaks Gewirtz, GEM executive VP.
ICB was founded in 1983 by Barry G. Eldridge and has offices in Medford, N.J., Latham, N.Y., Leander, Tex., and Denver. It is licensed in all 50 states and markets exclusively through producers.
GEM is headed by founder Peter S. Gelbwaks, and has a multi-life division based in Omaha, Neb. The company also has a consumer division with online access.
Both Barry Eldridge and Peter Gelbwaks are founding members of the National LTC Network, an alliance of retirement solution distributors.
