Neal Petersen, motivational speaker and author of the book, Journey of a Hope Merchant, will be the keynote speaker at the 2010 NAIFA-Pennsylvania Annual Convention, May 17-18, at Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Champion, Pa. Petersen was a main platform speaker at the 2008 Million Dollar Round Table convention. His book describes how he overcame insurmountable barriers to achieve his dream of racing solo in the “Around Alone” 27,000-mile round-the-world race, spending nine months alone at sea in a boat he designed and built. Petersen is the subject of a television documentary: “No Barriers, the Story of Neal Petersen.” He travels the world, delivering the message that, “In life, there are no barriers – only solutions!” Robert Chappell, chairman, president and CEO of Penn Mutual Insurance, will give his perspective on the current state and future direction of the life insurance business. Jules Gaudreau, a National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors’ trustee from Wilbraham, Mass., will provide an update on NAIFA’s advocacy efforts and member benefits. The convention will include grassroots advocacy training, an exhibit show, a Young Advisors program, and the election of officers and directors for the coming year. Four of NAIFA-Pennsylvania’s highest honors – the Keystone Award, the Scott D.
