A bill has been introduced in the New York Senate that would provide protection to insurance agents from abusive practices involving certificates of insurance.

Harleysville Insurance was recognized by CIO magazine and ACORD for its information technology accomplishments.

John Leonard, president and chief executive for The MEMIC Group, was recently re-elected by the ACORD board of directors as its 2010 chair and David Findley was also re-elected as the board’s vice-chair.
