The tornadoes that hit the U.S. Midwest and Southeast during the last week of April resulted in as much as $6 billion in insured losses, according to a global risk modeling agency.

Overall satisfaction with homeowners insurance companies fell 23 points this year, putting it at the lowest level in five years, according to an annual survey by J.D. Power and Associates.
