A national group fighting insurance fraud is asking Maryland’s governor to sign a bill that would impose large civil penalties and expand immunity for fraud fighters.

Each year the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud, a nonprofit group, provides a listing of its “Insurance Fraud Hall of Shame” indictees. This year’s honorees, as presented by the coalition, are listed below as the CAIF described them.

The New York Alliance Against Insurance Fraud (NYAAIF) recently elected its news officers and board of directors, selecting John Sargent to lead the group through the end of 2010.
