New York lawmakers have amended a windstorm deductible bill in a manner that one industry trade group says would end the confusion over windstorm triggers for the state’s coastal property owners.

Agencies have been forced to lay off employees, limit products and services, shift to other lines, and have seen significant drops in compensation.
