California’s insurance commissioner and the Obama Administration are seeking answers as to why Anthem Blue Cross wants to raise its health insurance premiums by as much as 39% for some state residents.

Angela F. Braly succeeded Larry C. Glasscock as president and chief executive officer at WellPoint and now she will follow him as chairman of the national health insurer’s board of directors.
