Most life insurance policyholders have spoken to their beneficiaries about their policy, but are lax in updating policy information, according to a new survey.
The number of workers who said their employer pays all of life insurance dropped from 37% last year to 33% in 2010, according to a survey from The Hartford Financial Services Group.
As a direct result of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) – also known as ObamaCare – health insurance agent and broker commissions have been slashed by as much as 50%. Agencies have been forced to lay off employees, limit products and services, shift to other lines, and have seen significant drops in compensation.
