The California Office of Administrative Law (OAL) declared the state insurance commissioner’s actions against insurers holding investment relations with Iran to be “improper.”

The number of companies buying terrorism insurance since 2003 has more than doubled, according to a new survey.

A public hearing into why insurers would not disclose their investments in Iran was canceled after all 1,327 companies licensed in the state outlined their financial dealings to state regulators.
