An Albany, N.Y.-based organization dedicated to advancing the careers of women announced its 2011 industry partners, whose sponsorship shows their dedication to supporting women in insurance and financial services careers, according to the group.
Six months ago, Insphere Insurance Solutions announced plans to become the largest independent career agent distribution group. On Jan. 21, the Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas-based company announced it has commenced operations with a force of 2,200 agents and offices in more than 40 states.
As a direct result of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) – also known as ObamaCare – health insurance agent and broker commissions have been slashed by as much as 50%. Agencies have been forced to lay off employees, limit products and services, shift to other lines, and have seen significant drops in compensation.
