The National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA National) has announced a new award designed to recognize professional insurance agencies for excellence in their use of social media in a business setting.
CIGNA has made its telephone customer service operations available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for members of its medical, dental and pharmacy health employee benefits plans.

Agencies have been forced to lay off employees, limit products and services, shift to other lines, and have seen significant drops in compensation.
