Noting its “great strides” in fighting insurance fraud, state agencies across Virginia will continue that teamwork this week, dubbed “Insurance Fraud Awareness Week.”
The Insurance Fraud Program of the Virginia State Police is accepting nominations for the sixth annual Fraud Fighters Awards, honoring those who go the extra mile to stop illegal activity in the state.
As a direct result of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) – also known as ObamaCare – health insurance agent and broker commissions have been slashed by as much as 50%. Agencies have been forced to lay off employees, limit products and services, shift to other lines, and have seen significant drops in compensation.
